K & E Bowling Trip
1:26pm - Jul 8, 2009
Enjoy life without drugs and alcohol! The Nonstop P.A.R.T.Y. was very successful for the K.& E. class and their group at Kehewin. We took the students for a bowling activity and feast in Bonnyville. We also took the group to Beaver Lake to attend the school pow-wow. The students were fed during the pow-wow, and they enjoyed meeting new friends. What's more, we took the group to Bar Colony Museum in Lloydminster. This was a day event! They toured the museum and they enjoyed  it very much. They also stopped over at Onion Lake, Saskatchewan to attend the Treaty Day celebrations.  It really was a Nonstop P.A.R.T.Y.!

Games Day
1:22pm - Jul 8, 2009

The pleasure that is life…  Young people at the Learning and Resource Centre had a Games and Feasting Day where they played hilarious communication games and enjoyed a meal together.  The main part of the event was the laughter!  Everyone was laughing, laughing, laughing with each other and their answers in the games.  The ice breaker activity was especially funny, and everyone joined in.  Group games that get everyone involved are a good way to have a healthy P.A.R.T.Y.  and a superb way to meet new people and jump right into the FUN!  It was obvious that these young people loved laughing with each other.  It was truly hilarious fun!

Canoeing and Beach Games
1:21pm - Jul 8, 2009

A fabulous group of aboriginal youth had a glorious time enjoying the precious land, trees, and lakes in our astonishingly beautiful community.  With excellent support from the community, they spent their day canoeing and swimming, playing badminton, horseshoes, bean bag toss, and volleyball, roasting smokies, snacking on nuts and cheese, and listening to an elder tell traditional stories around the campfire.  Even the drive out to the lake was a fun time to be together, just laughing and really enjoying each other’s company.  It was wonderful to see how everyone worked together so happily, helping each other out and having endless fun – this group really made the best of their event and it was a beautiful time to be together and get to know old and new friends in a refreshing and clean drug- and alcohol-free environment in our local area.

Teachers vs Students!
3:57am - Jun 22, 2009
The crowd went wild!  Students took on the teachers at Kehewin and showed their stuff in a riveting basketball game.  Everyone, kids and adults alike, had fun at this fantastic event that showed outstanding community spirit and exemplified the idea of engaging the whole community in keeping our kids drug- and alcohol-free. Way to go, Kehewin!
Pizza Party Pizzaz
3:48am - Jun 22, 2009
The gang from R.A. Reynolds had way too much fun at Boston Pizza - double dating with their parents!  Well...ok, the parents were at  their own table, but everyone went out together and had good, clean fun.  These kids know that they can have a great time without drugs or alcohol, and that's just what they did.  Thanks to Mrs. Hamel for all the work you put into this - you really went the extra mile to help these students! Thanks also to the caring and involved parents who helped out

Students at BCHS showed that they know how important it is to plan how you spend your leisure time.  They enjoyed a meal and snacks and had a great time bowling together in Bonnyville, for a drug- and alcohol- free afternoon.  Thanks to Mr. Duffet and all the parents who helped make it happen!

Everyone got something of their own-a football, tennis racquet, soccer ball, etc.-to take home and enjoy over the summer! The sights and sounds of our teens enjoying life without drugs or alcohol, having a great time and being active in our community were something to remember!  Huge thanks go to Mr. Kozlow and Mr. MacDonald for being the driving forces and making these enduring events happen! Thanks guys!

Come blog with us at the Nonstop P.A.R.T.Y. blog.  This is all about a project being run in the Bonnyville/Cold Lake area by the Lakeland P.A.R.T.Y. program.  The point?  To have fun!  Yes, this project is all about young people challenging themselves to enjoy life to the fullest!  Add your comments or read all about what young people are doing below, or go to the website  for more details on the project.
GCHS Ski Trip
4:29pm - Apr 4, 2009
This was a dream come true - students skied and ate pizza and laughed together for hours.  Their plan was a brilliant way to exercise, have fun, fill their valuable time with valuable experiences, and interact with peers and others in our community.  A huge part of the success of the plan was Mr. MacDonald - his guidance, his presence, and all his hard work in making it happen were vital.  The Grand Centre Boosters were also a big boost!  And we are very, very grateful to Val and the staff at Kinosoo Ridge for such incredible generosity in donating so much to the program, including a lot of personal time and genuine caring about young people!  Thanks to everyone for making it happen!
